Thunderbirds and Space: 1999 Kits Available Now!

The Official Gerry Anderson Store now offers these FAB model kits of Thunderbirds 1 & 3 with their launch bays and the retro Space: 1999 Alien Moon Buggy Kit!

Aoshima Thunderbird 1 and Launch Bay

This 1/350 scale Japanese model by Aoshima is a classic injection-plastic kit that includes TB 1 and it’s secret launch bay.

Thunderbird 1 is International Rescue’s fast-action response vehicle, usually the first to arrive at an incident. Normally piloted by Scott Tracy, it can also be flown by his younger brother Alan and can reach speeds of 15,000 miles per hour.

The Thunderbird 1 launch bay is one of the most iconic sets from the series, situated below the Tracy Island swimming pool. It famously features a re-purposed lemon squeezer on the rear wall of the hanger and this detail has been faithfully recreated for the model kit. Now that’s attention to detail!

Package Size:36.1 x 26.1 x 7.4 cm

The model is skill level 3 (basic skills required). Cement or glue is also required and the model should be painted in order to achieve a realistic appearance. Don’t be afraid to dirty it down to make it look a bit grimy, after all, that’s how they made the craft look so convincing in the series!

Aoshima Thunderbird 3 and Launch Bay

This 1/350 scale Japanese model by Aoshima is a classic injection-plastic kit that
includes TB 3 and it’s secret launch bay.

Thunderbird 3 is International Rescue’s vehicle designed for space rescue and maintaining the systems and crew of Thunderbird 5. It is normally piloted by Alan Tracy or John Tracy, with their brother, Scott as co-pilot. It’s the tallest vehicle in the International Rescue fleet, reaching a colossal 287 feet in height (though thankfully you won’t require that much space to display this model!).

Package Size:36.3 x 26.3 x 7.4 cm

Molded in red, blue, white and gray, this kit also comes with decals, photo-etch, paper craft to duplicate the interior panels of the launch bay and even a sheet of foam-core to use as a base! Assembly guide is in Japanese and English.

The model is skill level 3 (basic skills required). Cement or glue is also required and the model should be painted in order to achieve the best realistic appearance. Thunderbird 3 will look most convincing if it’s painted to reflect the wear and tear of several high velocity re-entry flights!

We are so happy to bring you this Space: 1999 Alien Moon Buggy Kit in 1:25 Scale.
