Announcing the narrator of the Captain Scarlet Spectrum Files – David Graham!

The upcoming Captain Scarlet Spectrum Files will have one of the most iconic Gerry Anderson voices telling the tales of Spectrum…

Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons is fast approaching its 50th anniversary since its first broadcast on our TV screens. Gerry Anderson’s Supermarionation series tells the tale of our eponymous hero, Captain Scarlet, as he and the  Spectrum organization fight to save the Earth from the Mysterons from Mars.

The Spectrum Files, originally based on three tie-in novels released in 1967, are being released in September by Big Finish Productions, alongside the 50th Anniversary Limited Edition box set of Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons. And to celebrate, Wayne Forester (voice of Captain Scarlet in Gerry Anderson’s New Captain Scarlet) and Liz Morgan (the original voice of Destiny and Rhapsody angels) will be adding the magic vocal touches to these releases. But narrating these tales will be David Graham, the original voice of Gordon Tracy, Brains, Kyrano and Parker from Thunderbirds!

“We’ve been very lucky to work with David Graham on a few projects recently,” says director and producer Jamie Anderson, “including Terrahawks – a series he wasn’t originally involved with, but fitted in perfectly with the Terrahawks cast. So I jumped at the chance to work with him again.

“For many David’s voice is synonymous with the Gerry Anderson Supermarionation series, but Thunderbirds was David’s final voice job working with Dad. It seemed only right that we finally give David a chance to lend his vocal talents to Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons, and narrator of the Spectrum Files was the ideal job for him.

David’s narration, combined with Liz Morgan and Wayne Forester’s fantastic character voices, makes for the perfect combination to bring these classic Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons stories to life for the very first time, with an authentic sprinkling of Century 21 magic.”

Make sure you catch all the adventures in Captain Scarlet: The Spectrum Files stories, available each at £14.99 on download or £16.99 on CD from Big Finish’s website or the official Gerry Anderson Store!
